UB (abbreviated UB) was inaugurated as State University in 1963. UB is currently one of the leading universities in Indonesia that has the number of students more than 30 thousand people from various strata from Vocational Education Program (Diploma), Bachelor, Master and Doctoral Program in addition to Program Specialist and Professional Education Program is scattered in 12 Faculty and Program 2.
UB campus is located in the city of Malang, East Java, with a location easily accessible by public transport. Campus is very beautiful because of the large trees and is supported by the cool air of Malang. History proves the existence of Malang as the education city where UB grow and thrive. This does not happen by itself but as a historical process that is inseparable from the heyday of East Java in the past.
Based on Presidential Decree No. 59 of 1982 dated 7 September 1982 on the organizational structure of the UB, Faculty of Fisheries (FPI) to its own faculty since 1977, merged into one by the name of the Faculty Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries. Please note that the Faculty of Fisheries has been established since 1963 in which the Department of Probolinggo FKHP UB. Faculty of Medicine (FK) is officially under the UB since 1974 after since its establishment in 1963 under the Higher Education Foundation of East Java. Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (Science), was inaugurated by the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 0371/O/1993 dated October 21, 1993. UB faculty adds another, namely the Faculty of Agricultural Technology (FTP) which is an increase in status of the previous Department of Agricultural Technology in the Faculty of Agriculture.
