MIT is a leader in science and technology, as well as many other fields, including management, economics, linguistics, political science, and philosophy. Departments and schools of the most famous is the Lincoln Laboratory, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, Media Lab, Whitehead Institute and the Sloan School of Management. 59 of the present or past members of the MIT community have won the Nobel Prize.
